The relatives of teenagers missing after a tragic fire at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are facing an painful wait for confirmed information and appealing for clues about their children online.

The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Verified video show the roof structure igniting as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.

Officials have stated that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the victims of the disaster, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and hurt another scores more.
