Two men have been charged following a luggage theft where a believed to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
